Positive: The cottage was clean & the bed was very comfortable along with a very nice bathroom & you were supplied with basically everything you could want, along with some dog treats. Our dog loved the garden,although he decided he wanted to jump the small gate to the right at the bottom so I would suggest a higher gate to prevent this with larger dogs.I've been to the island quite a few times so knew where the location was in relation to where I wanted to go so it is good enough to reach most area's without too much issue & there are some good pubs within a 15 minute drive where you can take a dog inside.The Binstead Arms & the Fishbourne Inn are both recommended.
Negative: It was a shame the character of the cottage had been completely removed in the modernisation of the building, which as said was to a very high standard.What we couldn't believe was despite literally having everything you could want in any home there were no teaspoons, no sharp knives & just a couple of normal sized breakfast spoons along with no clocks on any walls for handy time reference?? The front of the cottage is very small as to be expected for a building of that age so it's not easy to get a larger car on there, this is not shown on the photo's when booking Its also quite dangerous to pull out of due to a slight blind bend & the speed of some cars coming along there (obviously not the fault of the owners), being right next to the road it's also quite noisy in the bedroom. The other downside was the TV set-up is a nightmare despite trying countless times we could not get the normal "standard channels" on the lounge TV & just gave up in the end..
